Sunday!!

Happy Sunday y'all! Hope everyone is relaxing today? I am so excited to watch the All star game tonight!!! Whoo hoo! Oh, and the Oscars. But I am more excited for the game. Anyways, I went to first service this morning, just so I could be back home in good time to watch the game lol. I think I look sleepy in these pictures, but just focus on the outfit Lol. My buddy of Chuckstrphoto took these pics after church.

I got this skirt free from Asos! Yes, free.com. I originally ordered a similar skirt, but with a slit in front. But, they sent this skirt with the slit on the side. I emailed them, and they told me to keep this skirt, while they send the correct skirt!

Random pictures in my phone.

Hey everyone, hope you guys are well? It's been a hot minute since I have blogged, but I am still dealing with my camera issues. I am working on getting a T3i pretty soon, and also a tripod. I am so tired of asking people to take my pictures, so I will be blogging more! Anyhooters, just wanted to give you guys a glimpse of the pictures in my phone lol Very random. But my phone is what I use the most especially since my Canon XS sucks balls.

This picture was taken on my birthday. The only picture taken on my friends iPhone (the one in pic). My Camera got ruined on my birthday. Sigh. But this is what I wore, and everyone at the restaurant said I looked like Oprah! Lol. If I had a dollar for every time someone said that, I'd own a jet by now.

    My sequin bow sweater from here. Love this sweater. I'm still going to do a full post on this. My hurr was a mess here, and my turban saved my day lol. Oh, and I am wearing Ruby woo by Mac.

           Channelling my inner June Ambrose. It took me a while to figure out how to tie this turban thing the June Ambrose way. Even though I wasn't close, I still dig my remix. I got my fabric from Joann's fabric.

           My Night Walk by Jefferey Campbell! Sigh these shoes are so gorg to look at, but I ordered them a size too big. I tried them on in my apartment, and I almost fell every time LOL. But they are very comfy when you figure them out.

Valentines day date night!

This past weekend, my roomies aka (my Sisters from other misters) and I, went out to dinner for Valentines day!  Lol. We had a grab bag, and we weren't supposed to figure out who was buying who what, but umm yea, that didn't happen. We had reservations for 9pm, but thanks to the snow, we were over an hour late. We exchanged gifts at dinner, even though it was meant to be a surprise, we ended up telling each other what we wanted. It was such a fun night filled with love and laughter. I seriously heart these gurls, never ever a dull moment. We went to a Cuban restaurant up North here in Chicago, fun times!

Hair Diary.

I never thought I would get to a point in my life where I would stop perming my hair!!! I am almost 7 months perm free, and It works! I actually like it because I don't have to care about sweating out my perm, wrapping it at night etc. I have a short hair cut that I miss sooooo much! Sigh.
At first, I was growing out my hair, just so I could cut it into this bowl cut style I've always wanted. Something like this:

Sometimes, I just wanna slap on a perm and keep it moving lol. With going natural, my hair thanks me every darn day! When I had my short hair, I permed every two weeks. YES! Sad but true. If I didn't perm, the back of my hair and my edges would be a hot mess. But thank baby Jesus my hair is finally free from chemicals.

Before this change, the only treatment my hurr got was a perm. Believe me when I say I never treated my hair to anything. I love my permed hair oil free, so It can have body etc. But now, I am much better with that. Thanks to my gurl Yemi of Naturally Yemi, she sent me a YouTube video that saved my hair. Laila of FusionofCultures channel on YouTube is the bomb.com. Her hair is sooo pretty! Like its edible lol. But check it out.

Any hooters, I was 3 months perm free here. I just put some rods (rollers) in my hair overnight, and combed it out in the morning. This is what I've been doing for a while now. I need to change it up. Tried a braid out once, but didn't turn out the way I expected. For now, I'll do protective styles till my natural hair is long enough. But so far so good guys!!

Casual Night.

Hey Guys! Last night, I went to my friend's birthday Shindig. Very Casual night, didn't want to be over dressed, so I went for a chill look. I paired it with a blazer. My DSLR has a mind of its own. It works when It wants to, so I was able to get a few photos in before it stopped working again.

My hair is doing pretty well transitioning! I must say I hear my hair thanking me sometimes. I am always treating my hair with healthy products now, unlike when I had a perm. The only treatment then was a relaxer. Sad but true. I put rods in my hair overnight, and combed it out. Its very easy to do, If you want to try it. :)
